Introducing the new BCF Academy – Sharing veterinary imaging learning

At BCF, we are leaders in veterinary imaging and are committed to helping improve animal care. We already provide technology designed to make your daily working life easier and more productive. We also want all vets to feel confident that they are getting the most out of their imaging equipment.

Improving veterinary imaging across the world

Capturing and interpreting diagnostic images takes proficiency, skill and confidence, which is why learning has always been at the heart of BCF. The new BCF Academy gathers all our teaching resources and expertise into one vibrant, accessible hub. It is a natural evolution of the educational support we have been providing to our partners and clients for over three decades.

The aims of the BCF Academy:

  1. To improve standards of veterinary imaging around the world.

  2. Become the global choice for veterinary imaging learning by developing both online and offline training courses and learning resources in multiple languages.

  3. Create communities to help share knowledge and consolidate best practice.

  4. To prepare students for working with veterinary imaging beyond University.

BCF has proud roots in Scotland but we also operate beyond the UK in North America, France, Ireland and India and have a growing presence in a further 30 countries. Wherever you are in the world, whatever animals you specialise in and whatever stage you are at in your career, we want to help you develop your skills in ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MRI veterinary imaging.

Committed to learning

Alongside partnership and innovation, learning is one of BCF’s three core values. We stage and support over 100 training courses in the UK each year. Our specialist radiographer and clinical team of vets are constantly developing new learning materials that are freely available online. Our YouTube channel has achieved over 2 million views and features over 100 instructional videos. A substantial percentage of our bovine learning content is already available in eight different languages. Similarly, the BCF Academy is designed to be a platform that can expand and evolve over time.
